About our major institutions’ the quantification of the unquantifiable.

Description

Thanks to “Very dissatisfied, neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, very satisfied,” you will finally know everything there is to know about the quantification of feelings by our major institutions! How does the UN, Eurostat, INSEE, the OECD measure our morale, our satisfaction, her happiness and even what meaning we give to our lives? Using numerous data presented in more-or-less amusing graphs, Magali Desbazeille offers you an opportunity to scrutinize the heart of the methodologies of statistics that scan us and analyze us from all angles: the UN’s World Report on Happiness, INSEE’s satisfaction survey, Eurostat databases. The performer examines all these documents from her treadmill-office, because to be happy and in good health, we all should walk!
But actually, who and what is it all for?
Because behind all of this apparent absurdity, we mustn’t forget that, “Everything that is not counted, ends up no longer counting,” as Florence Jany-Catrice (economist) stated.
