In 2050, when I was 20…takes three artistic forms: a collaborative digital creation at the crossroads of sound work and poetry (a smartphone application), a performance and an edition
The project examines the imaginary world of the digital, in terms of its societal and intimate, political and poetic, scientific and imaginary dimensions. What did we think would happen in the year 2000? What do we expect in 2025? How will we look at 2025 in a few decades’ time? What do we hope for in 2050? What fears or desirable futures are recurring?
In the form of retro-fiction, En 2050, quand j’avais 20 ans… puts into perspective the history of these imaginaries and their future. A survey will be carried out with several types of audience: tech. entrepreneurs-engineers-employees, university students and researchers, annotators from the French Ministry of Justice and image labelers and annotators in Madagascar. This survey, in the form of meetings and workshops, will enable us to build up a textual and sound database that is both poetic and anthropological.

In 2025, when I was 20, it was thought that the Internet would pass through satellites.
In 2050, when I was 20, we had forgotten that we could live without neurotechnologies.
In 2050, when I was 20, we still believed that a technology could be infallible.
