Perched like a statue on her pedestal, the performer pedals her exercise bike.
Dressed in sportswear, she tirelessly enumerates recommendations, from those made to women cyclists by Chicago’s Unique Cycling Club in 1985 to the recommendations of apps dedicated to women cyclists in 2024.
She moves from past prohibitions, such as the one against racing, to contemporary injunctions, such as the one to have the body and mind of a winner.
