Video images are projected on the plate glass windows and in the lobby (differents supports of projection are being studied). The images are visible from the street and from inside the building which is thus illuminated.
The images present characters filmed as they pass, cross,
come back, like the trace of a certain presence, like doubles. They seems
to follow the pedestrian on the street, entering and leaving the building.
The installation functions according to the luminosity outside. When it
functions, it occupies the space in the lobby. When it is turned off,
it disappears. At night, the installaiton brings the building to life.
There is a combinaison of video images filmed in real time and pre-recorded
images. For brief moments, real time images of the person watching appear
furtively among the pre-recorded images of characters. The combinaison
creates random variation and confusion. Reality is mixed with fiction
in perpetual renewal.
